Useful: What you need to know before traveling to Alhambra
Granada is separated from the capital of Andalusia by 250 kilometers. This distance can be traveled by car in 2—3 hours, but if you do not have a rented car, use the services of the national rail carrier Renfe or the largest commercial bus company Alsa.
Train Seville to Granada
Renfe operates more than a dozen trains daily from Seville to Granada. Be careful: on most routes you will need to change trains. Only a fraction of the routes are non-interchangeable, but with stops along the way.
Trains leave from the Santa Justa train station. At the underground San Bernardo station, which is a little closer to the center, you can catch one of six trains to Granada, but all of these trips have connections at Antequera — Santa Ana station and take longer.

Bus Seville — Granada
During the day, 10 Alsa bus services connect Seville and Granada: from Plaza de Armas station in Seville to Granada Estación De Autobús station in Granada.
The morning and afternoon trips are direct. The night route at 23:00 makes 9 stops on the way, so it takes longer.
You can buy tickets online on the carrier’s website or at the ticket office of a bus station. It is more convenient to buy on the website — there is no need to stand in line. The ticket will come to your e-mail, you need to print it out and you can go straight to boarding.
Minimum fare tickets must be purchased in advance (at least 10 days in advance) and cannot be refunded or exchanged. The most expensive tickets are for flights with additional services in the bus: Wi-Fi and multimedia entertainment.
A free bike or surfboard is included on any flight.
- One way ticket price: from 5 € to 30,13 €, children from 4 to 11 years old get 30% discount, children under 3 years old are free.
- Travel time: 3 hours, the 23:00 flight is 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Rental car from Seville to Granada
It is convenient and profitable to rent a car if you have traveling companions. The capital of Andalusia and Granada are connected by several roads, the shortest is the free highway A-92. During the trip you will cover 250 km one way.
It is convenient to choose and book a car on sites — aggregators with Russian navigation Rentalcars or Economybookings.

Transfer from Seville to Granada
The most premium option is a private transfer in a premium car. A one-way trip costs from 112 € per person, the driver will pick you up and take you to the right place at a time that suits you.
Which to choose?
- Bus service between cities, given the promotional fares and availability, is more convenient and cost effective.
- If you have a driver’s license, rent a car and visit the Andalusian cities of Cordoba and Ronda on the way from Seville to Granada.
